  Hanover Township Independence Day Event Was Spectacular

  The Hanover Township Independence Day event was just that ... Spectacular! We kicked off the Fourth of July holiday weekend by returning to one of our favorite event locations in the Lehigh Valley – Hanover Township Park at the Hanover Township Community Center in Bethlehem, PA. Even though thunderstorms were in the forecast, Mother Nature was kind to us and we enjoyed a great outdoor event that was warm, sunny and dry.  This location is literally right down the street from our Bethlehem center and we have enjoyed many events there over the years. Each time we return they welcome Patient First back with friendly, open arms. Patient First was the first sponsor to return to the Community Center as things opened up after forced shut-downs due to the pandemic. We are already looking forward to the next opportunity we'll have to participate in an event at there.

  "Wheels of Wayne" Event Celebrates 9th Anniversary

  This year marked the 9th anniversary for people to cruise on in for this annual car show in downtown Wayne, PA. Patient First has participated in the event several times over the years, and it has become one of our favorites near our Devon center. As a sponsor, we have enjoyed interacting with the local community, and the many others who traveled from out of the area to enjoy a fun-filled day. Originally slated for Saturday, April 30, inclement weather prevailed and the event was moved to it's May 7th rain date. This was such a great call, since Mother Nature smiled upon us and delivered a beautiful day with bright sunshine and temperatures in the mid-70s. Large crowds came out to enjoy the day, and all of the new, antique, classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles that were on display on two streets in Wayne. In addition to the many vendors, there was entertainment of all sorts, food and beverages, prizes and more for the whole family to enjoy.   Thank you to our amazing event staff! As our event calendar returns to its familiar busy pace, and in recognition of Event Staff Appreciation Week, the Community Relations Department would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all our center staff, who've taken the time to help support our efforts! We want you to know how much we value your contributions to making these events the successes that they are. By seeing and talking to everyone who stops by our tables, we hope you see the benefits of what you do long after they leave our care as patients, and recognize how appreciative they are of your work. It takes special people to give of themselves to help others, and each and every one of you who've given up your time to help staff our participation at the dozens of festivals, family health nights, fun runs, and other events are very special to us. Thank you for your enthusiasm, and for being such great ambassadors for Patient First!

  Elmwood Park Zoo Hosts Annual "Boo At The Zoo" Event

  Each year the amazing Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA hosts its annual "Boo at the Zoo" event in October, and this year was no exception. We were able to join the fun on site on Saturday, October 29 and it was a sensational day. Mother Nature was beyond kind to us, and everyone who came out to enjoy this fun day. We loved the temperature in the mid 60's and the bright sunshine we had all day. Organizers encouraged participants to bring out their little ghouls and ghosts for this annual Halloween event as the entire Zoo gets transformed for a "kooky, spooky Halloween celebration." And that they did. This family-oriented event attracted hundreds of children and their families. It was such fun to see all the fun and unique costumes that came by to visit with us. Many of the moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas were also in costume, which made things extra fun. If you haven't visited this beautiful little zoo, we encourage you to do so.   EGGS-traordinary Fun at Maymont Park's Dominion Energy Family Easter Event

  This past Saturday brought the return of sunnier skies, warmer temperatures, and Easter activities, signaling Spring is in the air, and here to stay. Egg-cited guests of all ages came by the thousands to enjoy the annual Dominion Energy Family Easter Event at Maymont Park. This event, which has grown by leaps and bounds from year-to-year, was spread out between the Carriage House Lawn to the Robins Nature Center, to Maymont Farm. With over 100 acres to eggs-plore, guests could be seen enjoying fun activities and hands-on crafts throughout the park. They also enjoyed tempting treats from local food vendors as they listened to live entertainment supplied on three different stages. Younger guests were able to win prize-filled eggs in a Golden Egg Hunt, solving riddles along the way to find the locations of where the golden eggs were hidden. Patient First was posted in the middle of all the action, where families and friends gathered by our tent prior to seeing a certain VIP-- the Easter Bunny!   Troopster Holiday Pack Event

  Troopster Holiday Pack Event Troopster is a non-profit organization that sends care packages to deployed troops.  Since its inception in 2015, Troopster has sent thousands of packages to service members worldwide.  Patient First employs many members of the military community and the founder is also a military veteran, so this event was meaningful. The boxes that Patient First packed will reach combat medics, navy corpsmen and members of the border patrol in Arizona, Kuwait, Iraq and Africa.  Remembering those who fight to protect our country but are away from their families during the holidays made this a gratifying experience.
