  Lehigh Valley's Musikfest Celebrates 40th Anniversary

  Musikfest returned for its 40th year in the Lehigh Valley and Patient First was part of the action on "Preview Night" again this year. The Bethlehem, PA event is the country's largest free music festival, and it draws more than 1 million people annually. A record-breaking 1,240,000 people attended Musikfest in 2022, and 2023 attendance will likely be larger. This 10-day festival features more than 500 performances across 16 stages located throughout the city of Bethlehem. It is so much fun and we love being part of the activities each year! Hundreds of performances can be enjoyed by 'Festers' throughout the run of the event, and almost all of the events are free. The only ones that required a purchased ticket are the headliners each evening. On our day at the fair, the band AJR was the headliner and performed to a sold out crowd of 7,000+ people. Although we are only able to be on site for a single day, event organizers, staff and volunteers always go above and beyond to be accommodating and welcoming to us, and we couldn't be happier.   "Wheels of Wayne" Car Show Returns in 2022

  Wheels of Wayne Car Show Returns in 2022 Radnor Township Parks & Recreation Department in cooperation with the Wayne Business Association brought the 8th Annual “Wheels of Wayne” car show event to downtown Wayne, PA and Patient First was part of the fun again this year as a proud sponsor.  Mother Nature may have threatened the event with thunderstorms on event day, but organizers decided it would be a “go” and they made a perfect call. We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon for this family-friendly community event which attracted more than 3,000 attendees and presented nearly 100 vehicles – some vintage, others late model – on display.  With its proximity to our Devon center, this event provided us with a perfect opportunity to talk attendees about the experiences they have had with Patient First, or to learn more about what we do. It was such fun seeing folks enjoying a day out after the pandemic “paused” this event in recent years.  Everyone waited in anticipation for the announcement of the show’s award winners where a 1948 Cadillac Sedanett won “Best in Show.” Other awards ...

  Thank you to our amazing event staff! As our event calendar returns to its familiar busy pace, and in recognition of Event Staff Appreciation Week, the Community Relations Department would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all our center staff, who've taken the time to help support our efforts! We want you to know how much we value your contributions to making these events the successes that they are. By seeing and talking to everyone who stops by our tables, we hope you see the benefits of what you do long after they leave our care as patients, and recognize how appreciative they are of your work. It takes special people to give of themselves to help others, and each and every one of you who've given up your time to help staff our participation at the dozens of festivals, family health nights, fun runs, and other events are very special to us. Thank you for your enthusiasm, and for being such great ambassadors for Patient First!

  Hanover Township Independence Day Event Was Spectacular

  The Hanover Township Independence Day event was just that ... Spectacular! We kicked off the Fourth of July holiday weekend by returning to one of our favorite event locations in the Lehigh Valley – Hanover Township Park at the Hanover Township Community Center in Bethlehem, PA. Even though thunderstorms were in the forecast, Mother Nature was kind to us and we enjoyed a great outdoor event that was warm, sunny and dry.  This location is literally right down the street from our Bethlehem center and we have enjoyed many events there over the years. Each time we return they welcome Patient First back with friendly, open arms. Patient First was the first sponsor to return to the Community Center as things opened up after forced shut-downs due to the pandemic. We are already looking forward to the next opportunity we'll have to participate in an event at there.

  Woodbury's Fall Festival Parade Celebrates Halloween

  We had such a blast at Woodbury's 2023 Fall Festival Parade, and we were well represented by an all-Woodbury staff team walking along the parade route this year. It's always great to be invited back to participate in this amazing community event, where we have been part of the action several times over the years. We have so much fun every year and really enjoy interacting with the huge and very enthusiastic crowd the parade draws each year. This year was no exception. Parade goers enjoyed a beautiful fall evening - albeit a bit chilly and breezy - as they watched the participants strut their stuff down Woodbury's Broad Street. We waved at and greeted so many locals and even out-of-towners who came out for the evening to enjoy the parade. This year's parade was Woodbury's 73rd annual event, and the theme this year was "Halloween." There were many parade entries who adopted this theme to entertain everyone along the parade route.   Outdoor Enthusiast Event

  Patient First was excited to team up with the city of Newport News for the second annual Outdoor Enthusiast event.  After a very successful first time event in 2022, there was a lot of anticipation about what 2023 may bring. Held at Newport News Park, this showcased one of the area's many municipal parks.  With live entertainment, fun activities and games, the day was an exciting celebration of the great outdoors.  Canoeing and kayaking were available for free at the reservoir.  There was also zip lining, an obstacle course, rock climbing and laser tag, all scattered throughout the park.  Live entertainment included a DJ, a gator show and lumberjack show.  The only thing missing was the sun! Unfortunately, the event was forced to end early due to inclement weather.  However, we had lots of fun while it lasted! Patient First would like to thank the city of Newport News for organizing such a great event.  We look forward to joining you again next year!
