  Event Staff Appreciation Week

  Thank You!  National Volunteer Appreciation week comes just once a year, and this provides us with a perfect opportunity to recognize and thank Patient first staff who join us at community events. Throughout the year many step away from roles in their center or office to represent Patient First at a variety of events and activities in the community. Organizers work tirelessly to put together events, and when Patient First staff participates in those events, we help to put “unity” in community. Come out see us when we’re at a location near you!

    Thank you!   As the weather warms up, and our event schedule begins to heat up as well, and in recognition that this begins Event Staff Appreciation Week, all of us at the Community Relations Department would like to take a moment to say Thank You to all of the center staff who've taken the time to come out and help support our efforts. Last year, we saw a record turnout of center employees, and we could not be more grateful! We truly value your contributions and your time, in making our community events the successes that they are. We hope you see the benefits of all the hard work that you do at the centers when you come out to our events and engage the community under the much less dire circumstances that these events provide. It's clear that your time and talents are truly appreciated! It takes special people to give of themselves to help others, and each and every one of you who've given up your time to help staff our participation at the hundreds of festivals, family health nights, ...

  An "All Things Irish" Weekend In Allentown, PA

  It was an "All things Irish" weekend in Allentown during St. Patrick's weekend. We kicked things off by participating in the annual Irish Cultural Community Day on Saturday, and wrapped things up by strutting our stuff in the St. Patrick's Day parade through Allentown's West End on Sunday. We have enjoyed a long-time relationship with organizers of both events, and it was great to be back again this year. Both events are provided to the community at no cost each year, which surely helps attract large attendance. That, combined with Mother Nature's kindness in delivering two great weekend weather days this year helped turn the events into blockbusters. This year's Parade was extra fun. It featured us, of course, along with 10 pipe bands, eight divisions, and more than 2,000 marchers from organizations, schools, companies and community groups from through the greater Lehigh Valley area and beyond. Event organizers are outstanding, and always make sure participants and crowds alike have a lot of fun to enjoy the Irish cultural heritages being celebrated.   Elmwood Park Zoo Hosts Annual "Boo At The Zoo" Event

  Each year the amazing Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA hosts its annual "Boo at the Zoo" event in October, and this year was no exception. We were able to join the fun on site on Saturday, October 29 and it was a sensational day. Mother Nature was beyond kind to us, and everyone who came out to enjoy this fun day. We loved the temperature in the mid 60's and the bright sunshine we had all day. Organizers encouraged participants to bring out their little ghouls and ghosts for this annual Halloween event as the entire Zoo gets transformed for a "kooky, spooky Halloween celebration." And that they did. This family-oriented event attracted hundreds of children and their families. It was such fun to see all the fun and unique costumes that came by to visit with us. Many of the moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas were also in costume, which made things extra fun. If you haven't visited this beautiful little zoo, we encourage you to do so.   Baltimore Fleet Week & Flyover

  A gorgeous weekend and clear, cloudless skies provided a picture perfect setting for this year's Baltimore Fleet Week and Flyover event at the Inner Harbor. This marked Patient First's first year taking part in the celebration of the U.S. Navy, with a booth set up on Friday, September 9th, and Saturday, September 10th. This event drew a wide range of tourists, given the fact of Baltimore's draw as a tourist city, the fact that the Orioles were in town playing it's division rival Boston Red Sox, and that the event drew families of Navy sailors from across the country, there to see their sons and daughters. People came to our table from as far away as Georgia, Connecticut, Mississippi, Missouri, and Florida, just to name a few. The weekend itself was quite the spectacle, with a variety of planes flying overhead at various points in the day, including F-18 fighters creating sonic booms, and impressive ocean going vessels like the USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul, and a Danish tall ship.   Hanover Township Independence Day Event Was Spectacular

  The Hanover Township Independence Day event was just that ... Spectacular! We kicked off the Fourth of July holiday weekend by returning to one of our favorite event locations in the Lehigh Valley – Hanover Township Park at the Hanover Township Community Center in Bethlehem, PA. Even though thunderstorms were in the forecast, Mother Nature was kind to us and we enjoyed a great outdoor event that was warm, sunny and dry.  This location is literally right down the street from our Bethlehem center and we have enjoyed many events there over the years. Each time we return they welcome Patient First back with friendly, open arms. Patient First was the first sponsor to return to the Community Center as things opened up after forced shut-downs due to the pandemic. We are already looking forward to the next opportunity we'll have to participate in an event at there.
