  Bethlehem's Hanover Township Community Center Kicks Off 2023 Holiday Season

  We love participating at events at Bethlehem's Hanover Township Community Center, since it is located literally right down the street from our Bethlehem center. Once again we were invited to join their annual tree lighting and holiday event, and we were delighted to return. Mother Nature was not kind on event day, and brought us rainy conditions all day. Event organizers successfully pivoted, however, and brought most of the event indoors. We didn't complain since it allowed us to stay toasty warm inside and not be outdoors in the cold, wet weather.  Each year this free event attracts hundreds of folks from the neighborhood and beyond, and this year was no exception. The lobby of the Community Center was packed full of people  before the event even began. This year participants enjoyed so many fun, family-friendly activities, including cookie decorating, an ice carving demonstration, an indoor snowball battle, and event photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus.   Hanover Township Festival

  Hanover Township Festival After being closed for nearly a year and a half, Bethlehem’s Hanover Township Community Center recently re-opened, and their first event back – Hanover Township Fall Festival, a pirate-themed event – was a huge success. As the first “returning sponsor” as the facility reopened, we earned a premier spot in the midst of all the fun. Our tent was a popular one and our giveaways flew off our table. We enjoyed lots of excellent conversations with folks from throughout the Lehigh Valley – Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton.  Mother Nature even cooperated by providing perfect weather for an outdoor Fall event. There are more fun, family-friendly events planned at the Community Center in the weeks and months ahead, and Patient First is looking forward to being part of them! It is such a pleasure to be good neighbors with such a great community organization that is just a short drive from our Bethlehem center.

  Hanover Township Community Center Winter Tree Lighting

  Hanover Township Community Center Winter Tree Lighting  We have participated in Hanover Township Community Center’s Winter Tree Lighting event in previous years, but there was something extra magical about being there this year. This Bethlehem, PA neighborhood really comes together to celebrate the holiday season, and we were so excited to return this year and be part of the fun (and of course the hot dogs, hot chocolate, cookies … and Santa and his reindeer, too). We so enjoy returning to participate in events at this location since the Township folks and Community Center staff are outstanding to work with. AND … the Center is almost within walking distance of our Bethlehem center. We are looking forward to returning for more fun and events there in the Spring 2022! See more news and event photos here.

  Kicking Off The Holiday Season In Hanover Township, PA

  Our Bethlehem, PA center is literally right down the street from the Hanover Township Community Center, and we are sure happy to be able to share the neighborhood with such a great organization. It was fun to return to participate in the annual Tree Lighting event December 2nd on campus. This year's event was likely their largest to date, and the campus was filled with cheerful holiday lights and beautiful decorations. Many activities for children and families were set up inside, as well. There was a whole lot of outdoor activity happening, too, which made the evening such fun for participants, and for us! Among the biggest hits were hot dog and marshmallow roasting over the huge charcoal grill, and of course the visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, reindeer, and culminating in the lighting of the huge tree in front of the center. We were amazed at the number of folks from the community who came out to participate in this year's event. Our safety blinkers and light-up yo-yos proved to be a huge hit and fun to see twinkling throughout the darkened campus. As an annual sponsor of ...

  "Wheels of Wayne" Event Celebrates 9th Anniversary

  This year marked the 9th anniversary for people to cruise on in for this annual car show in downtown Wayne, PA. Patient First has participated in the event several times over the years, and it has become one of our favorites near our Devon center. As a sponsor, we have enjoyed interacting with the local community, and the many others who traveled from out of the area to enjoy a fun-filled day. Originally slated for Saturday, April 30, inclement weather prevailed and the event was moved to it's May 7th rain date. This was such a great call, since Mother Nature smiled upon us and delivered a beautiful day with bright sunshine and temperatures in the mid-70s. Large crowds came out to enjoy the day, and all of the new, antique, classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles that were on display on two streets in Wayne. In addition to the many vendors, there was entertainment of all sorts, food and beverages, prizes and more for the whole family to enjoy.   Thank you to our amazing event staff! As our event calendar returns to its familiar busy pace, and in recognition of Event Staff Appreciation Week, the Community Relations Department would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all our center staff, who've taken the time to help support our efforts! We want you to know how much we value your contributions to making these events the successes that they are. By seeing and talking to everyone who stops by our tables, we hope you see the benefits of what you do long after they leave our care as patients, and recognize how appreciative they are of your work. It takes special people to give of themselves to help others, and each and every one of you who've given up your time to help staff our participation at the dozens of festivals, family health nights, fun runs, and other events are very special to us. Thank you for your enthusiasm, and for being such great ambassadors for Patient First!
