Not only are blueberries packed with Vitamin C, which helps protect your skin, blood vessels, cartilage, and increase bone density, there is an antioxidant in them that helps reduce inflammation, and helps increase the strength of your immune system! This compound, called anthocyanin, is also responsible for their berry-blue color!

Since blueberries are low in calories, they’re often a favorite topping to cereal, oatmeal, pancakes or yogurt, and can help aid weight loss. One cup of blueberries provides nearly 25% of the recommended daily allowance of Vitamin C! One cup of blueberries provides 3.6 grams of dietary fiber as well – while also providing calcium, iron, potassium, and magnesium! With all that packed inside those tiny blue fruits, what’s not to love about them?
