Black Friday can be a great time to do your holiday shopping. Unfortunately, this means braving the crowds! Check out these Black Friday tips to help you prepare before the sales:
You’re a shopper on a mission – those shoes are meant for you! You may already have your sights set on the perfect pair, but getting there is half the battle. Standing for extended periods may cause tension, so be sure to stretch out your muscles before taking on the crowd. You don’t want to be limping when everyone else is sprinting! While you’re waiting, do some lunges in place, or stretch out your calf muscles.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed in a crowd. While you may be determined to get that new sweater, try not to stress if someone gets it first. Practice breathing techniques or stretch to help calm yourself. Focus on your breathing and try to lower your heart rate.
Be prepared – pack some snacks to keep you energized and shopping-ready. Snacks that are high in protein, like beef jerky, mixed nuts, or hard boiled eggs, are best. A little snack will help prevent you from getting grumpy while you are waiting in line.
Don’t worry so much about finding the primo parking place. Likely, everyone and their brother will be out braving the crowd. Don’t waste your shopping time by circling the parking lot. Park wherever you can find. This is also a great opportunity to get in your recommended 10,000 steps for the day!
Being prepared will help you shop more efficiently and get the most out of your trip.
