  Patient First Sponsors Community Youth Advance 5k Run

  Since 2018, Community Youth Advance has hosted an annual “A Mother’s Love 5K Run” that has brought families out from all across the Greater DC region for a fun and engaging 5K to promote health, wellness and community. Community Youth Advance is dedicated to advancing the academic, social, and career opportunities of boys and girls by providing them and their families, with academic enrichment, mentorship, college prep assistance and access to career training. Community Youth Advance provides comprehensive educational and character-based programming for students in grades K-12. More than 200 participants gathered on Saturday, May 14 from all over the Greater DC region for the 5k run. After the run there was music, games, entertainment and a photo booth for participants to enjoy.  Patient First, a proud supporter of Community Youth Advance and their mission to help youth in the community, was excited to be a part of such a great cause.

  CORE Foundation Super Hero Youth Triathlon

  CORE Foundation held its annual Super Hero Youth Triathlon on Sunday, July 31. Patient First was a proud sponsor of the event and attended the packet pick up on Saturday, July 30. CORE Foundation uses the triathlon as a means to raise charitable funds to support a variety of projects, which are called CORE Causes, in the community ranging from food insecurity and youth empowerment. This year the Super Hero Youth Triathlon consisted of swimming, biking and running which took place at Ridge Heights Pool in Reston, VA. Over 600 athletes registered this year’s event. Staff from Patient First came out to support the event, handing out promotional items, interacting with patients and some who were unfamiliar with our services. We look forward to continue to partner with CORE Foundation for future events.

  Patient First Proudly Supports Youth Sports Patient First promotes active, healthy lifestyles and one of the many ways we demonstrate this is through our youth sponsorships each year. When sports moms and dads along with their families and friends are out enjoying Little League games throughout the area, they’ll frequently see a Patient First banner on the ballpark fence, or even our name on player jerseys.  As a sponsor, it is especially great to be invited out to meet and interact with the ball players and their friends and families on a game day. We got to do just that during “Opening Day” activities for the West Deptford, New Jersey Little League near our Woodbury center. As was to be anticipated, there was lots of excitement, commotion and activity among the young ball players, and their families and friends, and it was great fun to be a part of all the energy.  Folks were so appreciative of our sponsorship, and were excited to say “thank you,” and we were so happy to be there.   Patient First Sponsors Ashburn Village Kids Triathlon

  It was a beautiful day with perfect weather for a youth triathlon on a Saturday morning in Ashburn, Virginia. Hundreds of youth athletes from the ages 6 to 15 gathered in the Ashburn community for the multisport race which included swimming in the Lakes Rec Center outdoor pool, biking around the neighborhood, and running on a marked course starting and ending at The Lakes Rec Center. As the participants finished the race, they all received a ribbon and were congratulated by their family and friends. Staff from Patient First came out to engage with the public by handing out promotional items and spoke about services that Patient First offers. We even snagged a picture at the finish line. The entire event was a great success and our staff had great engagement and interactions with attendees.

  CORE Foundation Health and Wellness Fair

  CORE Foundation held its inaugural Health and Wellness Fair in conjunction with the Reston Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, June 4. CORE Foundation uses the triathlon as a means to raise charitable funds to support a variety of projects, which are called CORE Causes, in the community ranging from food insecurity and youth empowerment. This year the Health and Wellness Fair took place at Lake Newport Pool in Reston, VA. Over 700 athletes registered this year’s event. Staff from Patient First came out to participate in the Health and Wellness Fair, handing out promotional items, interacting with patients and some who were unfamiliar with our services. To top it off, the weather was immaculate! We look forward to supporting future CORE Foundation events!

  School Partnership Programs

  School Partnership Programs One of Patient First’s major community initiatives is supporting local schools and working together to provide students and teachers with the resources needed to succeed. Patient First has partnered with over 100 schools within our communities to help foster a positive and productive learning environment. Some of our partnerships have helped facilitate upgrades in school technology, mathematics programs, arts programs, reading programs, athletics, educational field trips, and more. We will be highlighting specific school partnerships in the future to show some of the awesome work that schools are doing to improve the educational experience for their students.  Stay tuned!
