  Wilson Baseball and Softball Coach Says Thanks "Thank you Patient First! Wilson baseball and softball has had a long relationship with Patient First back to 2017, and we have so appreciated the sponsorship support over the years. I am a coach, and “sports dad” to a Little League, boy (Cayden) and a softball girl (Sofia). My wife and I are keenly aware of bumps and bruises that come with active children, and Patient First has served us well over the years. Although we’d prefer to NOT have to visit for obvious reasons. Five years ago before the start of the baseball season, Cayden had a playground injury, and we thought his excitement about playing ball may have ended for the season before it even started. We took him to Patient First in Wyomissing to be checked out, and sure enough, his arm was broken. That didn’t stop him from playing the season.   Allentown St. Patrick’s Day Parade Returns for its 63rd Anniversary Celebration Although the streets of Allentown had been quiet the past two Saint Patrick's Days due to the pandemic, things changed this year. It was exciting to see the return of so many spirited, happy people along the St. Patrick’s Day parade route, and Patient First was thrilled to be a part of the festivities. Folks in Allentown “got their Irish on” during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, and staff from Patient First’s Allentown center joined in the fun. Although the wind was challenging, and the air had more chill than we’d like on parade day, the sun was shining and the spirits were high. Everybody loves a parade, and a little wind and chilly temperatures didn’t dampen the day at all for us or for all who came out to enjoy this great tradition.   AIACPA India Day

  From the sights of brightly colored saris, the smell of mouth-watering curry and masala spices, and the sounds of Bollywood pop, it was a feast for the senses at the HACC campus in Harrisburg, PA for the celebration of India Day 2022. After a two year pandemic-forced hiatus, this festival returned in force, showcasing the depth and breadth of Indian history and culture, coupled this year with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence. Anchored by a wide variety of restaurant booths and Indian clothing vendors, the main strip of the festival was also the site of a dazzling parade, representing many of the varied ethnicities making up the Asian Indian-American community. The main stage was at the end of the parade route, featuring dance performances, singers and a student robotics exhibition. There was even a flash mob, featuring 40 participants! This was Patient First's first year participating in this event, which was held just five miles away from our Harrisburg center, and roughly 13 miles from our Mechanicsburg center.   India Day 2024

  On Saturday, August 10th, the campus of Harrisburg Area Community College was alive with the sights, sounds, and enticing smells that made up the annual India Day celebration! Organized by the Asian Indian Americans of Central Pennsylvania, this rich celebration of culture and heritage draws several thousand people from across the region. For a third year, Patient First has been happy to participate in this event! After a serious storm blew through on Friday, which saw a tornado touch down in the Harrisburg area, there were concerns over the possibility of having the event at all this year. Fortunately, as the clouds passed through overnight, some absolutely gorgeous weather greeted us in the morning and lasted throughout the day. The day kicked off with a parade showcasing the multitude of organizations within the local Indian community of central Pennsylvania. It continued with a wide variety of dancing, traditional dress parades, and music featured on the main stage, as well as a host of vendors and amazing food choices.   Piney Orchard Street Festival

  The Piney Orchard Street Festival returned to Odenton for another fantastic end-of-season celebration of the community! The event, just three miles from our Odenton center always draws large crowds with its mix of vendors, local food trucks, live music, and rides for the kids! Unlike last year, when a sudden downpour cut the festival short just past the halfway mark, this year's weather was ideal, with just enough cloud cover to keep the temperatures down to a cool, but comfortable level. About 95% of the people we spoke with had been patients at our Odenton center, and had nothing but praises for the efficiency, cleanliness, and care that they received there. We spoke to several hundred people throughout the course of the day, and every one of them were so complimentary. The most popular item on our table for the day was hands down, our magnetic clips. The hand sanitizers were also a popular grab. Our table was about 100 yards from the bandstand, but our staff was still about to manage to perform a few blood pressure checks.   Towson 4th of July Parade 2024

  For over 120 years, the Towson Chamber of Commerce has hosted its annual 4th of July Parade in front of crowds of flag waving spectators. Just as it has for over a decade now, Patient First has been a proud sponsor of this celebration of our nation's birth! This year 15 staffers from as near as Towson and as far as Germantown came out to represent Patient First as we waved and greeted the cheering fans lined up along the parade route. As we travelled up and down the York Road corridor, we were spurred on by the shouts of people saying how much they loved Patient First, and how we've helped them through some particularly tough times. This year's participation matches a record for participation! We look forward to seeing how many people we can get to walk with us in 2025!
