  Take Me Out To The Ball Game - A Salute To Our Veterans

  Hats off to the Lehigh Valley's IronPigs ball club for organizing and hosting "Operation Send A Vet" on Opening Day, March 29, 2024. For the third consecutive year, Patient First was able to participate in this amazing "thank you" event by hosting 100 veterans and their families at the ball game. Several other local organizations joined in and collectively more than 1,300 veterans enjoyed a night out at the ball game. The frosting on the cake was an IronPigs win on this special night. We take pride in events and activities that help male and female veterans whether active duty or retired, in the Reserves or in the National Guard. It was heartwarming for us to meet so many vets during our evening at the ballpark. Even though Mother Nature wasn't very kind to us and delivered a bitterly cold evening, we all had a great time being on site again for this amazing event.   Patient First Celebrates First Responders in Berks County, PA

  Red Knights PA Chapter 10 is a motorcycle club comprised of past and present firefighters and their families who are devoted to helping their fellow First Responders in a variety of ways. They organized their inaugural Berks County Firefighter Appreciation Day, and invited Patient First to be part of the celebration. What an honor it was to stand with so many first responders – fire, ambulance, police and more in a day of appreciation – heroes just like those of us who work in the medical profession during these challenging, pandemic times. This was a family-friendly event … and we interacted with families of all ages. There were about a dozen fire trucks with their crews on site, several EMS/Ambulance providers … and even a medical helicopter flew in and stayed for a few hours. The event provided demonstrations of a vehicle extraction, and extinguishing a vehicle fire – both fascinating to view, and educational.   Minor League Baseball First Aid

  Minor League Baseball Partnerships Patient First partners with local Minor League Baseball teams to provide first aid services to baseball fans during the 2021 baseball season.  Patient First nurses provide first aid at all Norfolk Tides, Richmond Flying Squirrels, and Bowie Baysox home games. If you require first aid, please top by the first aid station at any of the ball parks.  Or, notify a ballpark official and we will be happy to come to you. Patient First and Minor League Baseball make a great team.

  Wilson Baseball and Softball Coach Says Thanks "Thank you Patient First! Wilson baseball and softball has had a long relationship with Patient First back to 2017, and we have so appreciated the sponsorship support over the years. I am a coach, and “sports dad” to a Little League, boy (Cayden) and a softball girl (Sofia). My wife and I are keenly aware of bumps and bruises that come with active children, and Patient First has served us well over the years. Although we’d prefer to NOT have to visit for obvious reasons. Five years ago before the start of the baseball season, Cayden had a playground injury, and we thought his excitement about playing ball may have ended for the season before it even started. We took him to Patient First in Wyomissing to be checked out, and sure enough, his arm was broken. That didn’t stop him from playing the season.   It was a beautiful day with perfect weather for a baseball game on a Friday night in the city of Bowie, Maryland. Hundreds of families gathered on June 17 for a night out for baseball, food and fun at the Prince George’s County Stadium in Bowie, Maryland. Staff from Patient First came out to engage with the public by handing out promotional items and spoke about services that Patient First offers. We even snagged a picture with the Bowie team mascot. Patient First is a proud sponsor of the Bowie Baysox baseball team. As a sponsor, Patient First nurses staff the First Aid station at every home game. Go Bowie Baysox!   Patient First Gets Into the Holiday Spirit at the 40th Annual Richmond Christmas Parade

  The holiday season got off to a great start in Richmond, VA with the 40th annual Dominion Energy Christmas Parade. This rain or shine event, which is free and open to the public, drew large crowds from near and far who lined up along Broad Street as they eagerly waited for the legendary Santa to make his appearance. The parade began near the Science Museum of Virginia and concluded near the Richmond Coliseum. It included a variety of colorful floats, giant balloons, high school and college marching bands, dance groups, and playful holiday characters, including a particular Grinch whose heart grew three sizes that day. Patient First, who has sponsored and participated in the event for several years now, was given the opportunity to carry the largest balloon in the parade - a 35' Cookie Monster balloon!  With guided direction from the balloon company and perhaps a little Christmas magic, 15 Patient First employees successfully navigated the balloon through city street lights, overhung tree limbs, and power lines.
