  All Eyes on the Skies for the 2024 NAS Oceana Air Show

  All eyes were on the skies for the NAS Oceana Air Show! The event, which took place September 21-22, brought together over 100 vendors and 300,000+ spectators for one of the nation's largest military air shows. Locals who've grown accustomed to the motto, "I Love Jet Noise" and those who aren't local, look forward to this event each year as it gives them a rare opportunity to come aboard an active military base and sit right on the flight line to watch their favorite jets, including the F-22 Raptor demonstration team. The event's main draw, however, are the Blue Angels, who travel the country conducting more than 60 shows in a 6-month period. Their precision during death-defying maneuvers is unlike anything you've ever seen before, and Patient First had a front row seat to all the action. Patient First has been a supporter of this event for many years, as it's one of the few events that offers us the opportunity to connect with our local military.   Leesburg Airshow

  For the first time, we proudly sponsored the Leesburg Airshow on September 28th, which took place at the Leesburg Executive Airport. Despite concerns about the hurricane, the weather cooperated, giving us clear skies and warm temperatures. The airshow attracted a large crowd, and it was an exciting experience to witness the aircraft land as we set up.  Throughout the day, spectators were treated to breathtaking aerobatic performances, including the Flying Circus Jumpers and War Thunder Air Shows. The event also featured a wide variety of modern and antique aircraft on display. One of the highlights was the Douglas C-54 Skymaster, also known as the Spirit of Freedom-- a plane that played a key role in the Berlin Airlift after World War II. Another crowd favorite was the Bell UH-1 Iroquois “Huey” helicopter from the Vietnam War era, showcased by the Liberty Warbirds-- a non-profit based in Lancaster, PA.  The airshow offered more than just spectacular aerial displays.   The Air Show Returns to Hampton Roads!

  NAS Oceana Naval Base opened their gates to the public this past weekend, as the highly anticipated Air Show returned to Hampton Roads.  The multitude of people that visited the base during this 2 day event could attest to the amount of excitement that was in the air.  Several vendors and food trucks were assembled along the flight line, accompanied by many service men and women who patrolled the area.  From the flight demonstration team to the jump team and jet trucks, there was so much to see and enjoy.  And of course the riveting performance of the Blue Angels concluded what was already an exceptional show! This year's theme paid tribute to 50 years of women in naval aviation.  Since "The First Six" earned their wings of gold, these female pioneers went on to pave the way for so many to follow.  Over the years women have grown to assume numerous roles in aviation.  Their positions play an integral part in strengthening and protecting our nation and are worthy of recognition.   Patient First Sponsors "Itty Bitty Hat Parade" At Devon Horse Show & Country Fair

  Historically, the Devon Horse Show & Country Fair can trace its late spring/early summer roots all the way back to 1896. It is both the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed horse competition in the United States. Fortunately for us, it's also located directly across the street from our center on Lancaster Avenue in Devon. It's great to be a part of such a prestigious event. Over the years, it's become one of our favorite signature events of the year. Since we opened our Devon center, we've been fortunate to develop a great relationship with the Horse Show executives and staff. We're also proud to be a "presenting sponsor" for a really fun children's event on the final day of the big event - the "Itty Bitty Hat Parade." The Horse Show is an enormous multi-million dollar 11-day event that attracts some amazing horses from around the country and around the world. It attracts elite horsemen and women who compete and show their prize horses. It attracts more than 125,000 visitors, and is truly a huge and anticipated event each year in the community.   "Wheels of Wayne" Car Show Returns in 2022

  Wheels of Wayne Car Show Returns in 2022 Radnor Township Parks & Recreation Department in cooperation with the Wayne Business Association brought the 8th Annual “Wheels of Wayne” car show event to downtown Wayne, PA and Patient First was part of the fun again this year as a proud sponsor.  Mother Nature may have threatened the event with thunderstorms on event day, but organizers decided it would be a “go” and they made a perfect call. We enjoyed a beautiful afternoon for this family-friendly community event which attracted more than 3,000 attendees and presented nearly 100 vehicles – some vintage, others late model – on display.  With its proximity to our Devon center, this event provided us with a perfect opportunity to talk attendees about the experiences they have had with Patient First, or to learn more about what we do. It was such fun seeing folks enjoying a day out after the pandemic “paused” this event in recent years.  Everyone waited in anticipation for the announcement of the show’s award winners where a 1948 Cadillac Sedanett won “Best in Show.” Other awards ...

  It Was An "Itty Bitty Hat Parade" At The Devon Horse Show

  The Devon Horse Show has been held in late May through early June in Devon, PA since 1896. It is both the oldest and largest outdoor multi-breed horse competition in the United States. It is also directly across the street from Patient First's Devon center location. Since we opened our Devon location several years back, we have had a great relationship with the Horse Show organizers and staff, which we have appreciated so much. It is great to be a part of such a prestigious organization, and once again, we were the presenting sponsor for the "Itty Bitty Hat Parade" on the final day of the show, which was also Children's Day. At the event, children decorate hats as a crafting activity, and then they participate in a parade around the fairgrounds. It is such a fun and adorable event, and it has been organized by the same delightful lady and her daughter since we first came on board.
