  Health First: George Mason University Health and Fitness Expo

  Patient First was delighted to once again be a proud sponsor and vendor at the highly anticipated George Mason University Health and Fitness Expo, taking place on Thursday, March 23. This year's expo was an exciting and engaging event, featuring a wide array of vendors, a cook-off, DJ with music, free smoothies, most importantly, free health screenings. Attendees had the opportunity to receive blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar screenings, as well as HIV testing- all of which are crucial in promoting disease prevention and encouraging a healthier lifestyle. In addition to the screenings, the expo served as a platform for introducing George Mason University faculty, staff, and students to valuable resources within their community that can help them live a healthier life. By showcasing the latest in health and fitness trends, and promoting wellness through interaction and engagement, the George University Health and Fitness Expo underscores Patient First's commitment to helping people lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.   Judge S. Woods Elementary School Mental Health Expo

  Patient First Supports School's Mental Health Expo Judge S. Woods Elementary School held its inaugural Mental Health Expo on Thursday, May 26th, which is in close proximity to our Landover Hills location. Hundreds of students, parents and teachers came out to participate.. The entire event was a great success with local health organizations coming together and providing health resources. During the event, they had a DJ, blood pressure screenings, Zumba and yoga classes, and other fun engaging health activities. As a proud community partner and supporter of healthy living, Patient First was thrilled to participate in the Expo and their mission to help students and staff with their mental health.

  B'More Healthy Expo 2024

  On Saturday, February 10th, Patient First returned to the Baltimore Convention Center for the 2024 B'More Healthy Expo. Created by Baltimore television station Fox45, this event showcases a wide variety of medical services and providers from the area, in all fields of medicine. For many of the city's underserved citizens, this event can be their only interaction with a physician, a dentist, or a clinic for the entire year, and Patient First is proud to be among those involved. In addition to the medical services and information being dispensed, there were also three stages featuring healthy cooking tips, exercise regimens, and cardio-invigorating dance routines. There was also a 14 foot rock wall to challenge the indoor thrill seeker.  This year saw crowds return to their pre-pandemic levels, with an estimated 28 thousand people streaming through the doors of the convention center's great hall. Our table once again was positioned squarely in the middle of the event, directly across from the area featuring the Fox45 news anchors and reporters, ensuring maximum visibility for us.   Dulles Summer Camp Expo

  Spring-like weather arrived in time for the Dulles Virginia Camp & Summer Expo Event, and Patient First was thrilled to be a sponsor! This was an exciting indoor event, replete with information on sports, residential camps, arts, STEM, special flux camps, summer programs and summer fun destinations. Our staff had a great time speaking with event attendees and sharing information about Patient First's services. The expo event featured a magic show, Karate show, dance competition and even a DJ to keep kids and parents entertained throughout the day. We had a blast, and look forward to seeing everyone next year!

  Invention Expo and STEAM Fair

  Thursday, February 15th marked our second year demonstrating the crucial importance of proper handwashing techniques at Algonkian Elementary School's Invention Expo and STEAM Fair. Our Patient First nurses kicked off their demonstration by applying a special germ solution to students' hands, which lit up under a black light. After the initial display, students washed their hands as they normally would, and a second pass of the black light revealed lingering germs. Our nurses demonstrated proper handwashing techniques, and the students ran to wash their hands again until no germs remained. The students' excitement was palpable, as they asked insightful questions about germ spread and illnesses. While kids immersed themselves in the project, parents expressed their appreciation for Patient First, with some mentioning visits to the Sterling location. Teachers from various locations, like Gainesville, stopped by our table commending our center. The principal also took a moment to say hello, extending a warm welcome and inviting us to participate in next year's STEAM Fair. We're thrilled with the positive impact of our demonstration, and look forward to returning next year.

  B'More Healthy Expo

  Health and wellness were the order of the day, as more than 25,000 people filled the Baltimore Convention Center for the 14th annual B'More Healthy Expo. This was Patient First's first time participating in this massive gathering of health organizations and exhibitors, all gathered with the intent of promoting and aiding in a healthier lifestyle for those living in the greater Baltimore area. Our table was placed directly in front of the main entrance, and immediately across from the area with the anchors, reporters, and meteorologists from Fox45, the television station which organizes the event every year. Those two things guaranteed us an enormous amount of foot traffic past our table! Our promotional items were flying out of our hands as quickly as we could unpack them, while every person who came by told us how much they appreciated what we do for the community. From cooking exhibitions, dance and aerobic instruction demonstrations, and several other instructional progams showcased on three stages placed around the hall, there was literally something for everyone to experience and enjoy.
