  Woodbury's Fall Festival Parade Celebrates Halloween

  We had such a blast at Woodbury's 2023 Fall Festival Parade, and we were well represented by an all-Woodbury staff team walking along the parade route this year. It's always great to be invited back to participate in this amazing community event, where we have been part of the action several times over the years. We have so much fun every year and really enjoy interacting with the huge and very enthusiastic crowd the parade draws each year. This year was no exception. Parade goers enjoyed a beautiful fall evening - albeit a bit chilly and breezy - as they watched the participants strut their stuff down Woodbury's Broad Street. We waved at and greeted so many locals and even out-of-towners who came out for the evening to enjoy the parade. This year's parade was Woodbury's 73rd annual event, and the theme this year was "Halloween." There were many parade entries who adopted this theme to entertain everyone along the parade route.   Open Streets Lancaster

  On Sunday, June 19th, 8 blocks of Water Street in downtown Lancaster, PA became a pedestrian walkway in the form of Open Streets Lancaster. Sponsored by Lancaster Rec, the City of Lancaster, and Lancaster Bikes!, this event aims to encourage physical activity, a healthy lifestyle, and positive mental health. Patrons could walk the streets and sample food, listen to a variety of musical artists set up along several blocks, shop from local vendors, and learn about a variety of non-profit services that are available for those in the Lancaster community. Patient First's tent was located near the temporary skateboard park, which became quite a draw for spectators. We heard from several patients who recounted how our center on nearby Oregon Pike helped them when they needed urgent care. Patient First has been a participant in this event for several years, and we look forward to doing so in the years to come.

  13th Annual Ronald McDonald House Red Shoe Shuffle

  A beautiful, crisp, clear Sunday morning in downtown Baltimore provided the perfect backdrop for an event steeped in love, caring and support in the form of the Ronald McDonald House Red Shoe Shuffle. While this was the 13th year that this 5k run/walk/stroll has been held at the site of the Ronald McDonald House (just three miles from our Bayview center), this was the first year that Patient First has been a part of it. Nevertheless, we could not have been made to feel more welcome, with friendly greetings and check-ins by the RMH staff, and a prime location for our table and tent in the middle of the event's Celebration Village. With its mission of providing housing-- sometimes for months at a time-- for out of town families while their children undergo life-saving treatments at area hospitals, this nationwide event could not be a more worthwhile cause for us to champion, and we received countless thanks from not just the organizers, but the families and supporters of the recipients of this invaluable service.   It Was A Super Sunday In Allentown

  Each year since 2017, one of our first events of the new year has been in the Lehigh Valley. This year was no exception. Patient First was delighted to return as a sponsor for "Super Sunday" at the Jewish Community Center in Allentown, PA. This community center is just a two-minute drive from our Allentown center, so the relationship we have established over the years has been a great one for all involved. The facility is fantastic! They run a full-service community center with a gym, a pool, a pre-school and all sorts of family friendly and educational opportunities for all ages. The center is open year-round, and provides a valuable service to Allentown's "West End" community, as well as folks from across the Lehigh Valley. Everyone is welcome! The Super Sunday event attracted hundreds of adults, children and families who participated in a day full of activities, and each had an opportunity to visit with our Patient First staff.   A Memorable Weekend at the Neptune Festival

  As a sponsor of the renowned Neptune Festival, Patient First embarked on an unforgettable experience that left us inspired and motivated.  The festival, held annually was cancelled in 2022 due to hazardous weather conditions, so everyone was excited to welcome it back this year.  Although the weather started off rocky, by the end of the 3 day weekend we were met with light wind and sunshine for an overall exciting experience.  The Virginia Beach oceanfront is the home of this event that continues to bring together a diverse range of businesses and individuals creating an atmosphere of celebration and community. The festival went on for several blocks to include vendors, food trucks and the highly anticipated sand sculpture tent.  The captivating art displays by so many talented artist was an amazing sight to see.  In addition, there were live music performances, a parade, and other fun activities, so there was never a dull moment.  Engaging with festival goers was a highlight of our experience.  Everyone was excited that Patient First was in attendance.  Many of the attendees shared stories about ...

  Limerick Community Day Draws A Huge Crowd

  This event has always been a fun one for Patient First to be part of, and it was great to be back again this year as a sponsor! Mother Nature was kind to us on event day too, delivering a beautiful summer day -- hot and sunny, and no rain until after the event concluded. The crowd this year was enormous, and the number of vendors on site doubled to more than 100 this year! A big shout out to the Spring-Ford Chamber of Commerce and the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce. This event was a joint production of theirs, and it was well done and very organized. The Spring-Ford Area High School marching band performed to kick things off for the day. There were several food trucks on site as well to keep people fed and hydrated. Many area first responders came out for the event to show off their equipment. It was also fun to have a disc jockey playing music all day for everyone to enjoy.
