  35th Anniversary Celtic Classic Returns to Downtown Bethlehem, PA

  The 35th annual Celtic Classic, sponsored each year by the Celtic Cultural Alliance, returned to the streets of beautiful Historic Downtown Bethlehem, and Patient First was part of the fun again this year. We have enjoyed participating in this event for many years and join others in celebrating all things Celtic while we are there. That includes education, musical performances, and traditional competitions in athletics, piping and dance. Celtic refers to seven nations - Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, the Isle of Mann and Galicia. The event drew competitors from all over the county, and visitors from all over as well. We participated in the closing day of this three-day event and the culmination of the "Highland Games" which has been described as the biggest competition that a professional men's Highland gamer can go to. The day was full of plenty of men in kilts -- women and children, too. And even though we had a little afternoon rain on closing day, it surely didn't dampen anyone's spirits.   Bethlehem's Christkindlmarkt 2023

  We love being part of Bethlehem's Christkindlmarkt each year, and every year it seems to get bigger and better, if that is even possible. We were on site on Saturday, November 18 for Opening Weekend and the kickoff of the event's 31st anniversary. The staff who puts this enormous event together is second to none, and it is always a pleasure to work with them. A host of volunteers are on site to ensure everyone has an amazing experience. Although temperatures are chilly this time of year, we don't mind, since we always enjoy a steady flow of foot traffic while we are there from morning until night. This year we had many great conversations with folks who have visited our Lehigh Valley centers, plus others throughout eastern Pennsylvania, central Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. It was great to hear all of their positive comments about Patient First.   Allentown St. Patrick’s Day Parade Returns for its 63rd Anniversary Celebration Although the streets of Allentown had been quiet the past two Saint Patrick's Days due to the pandemic, things changed this year. It was exciting to see the return of so many spirited, happy people along the St. Patrick’s Day parade route, and Patient First was thrilled to be a part of the festivities. Folks in Allentown “got their Irish on” during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, and staff from Patient First’s Allentown center joined in the fun. Although the wind was challenging, and the air had more chill than we’d like on parade day, the sun was shining and the spirits were high. Everybody loves a parade, and a little wind and chilly temperatures didn’t dampen the day at all for us or for all who came out to enjoy this great tradition.   Christkindlmarkt

  Christkindlmarkt Bethlehem’s Christkindlmarkt was launched in 1993 and has become a popular holiday destination drawing more than one million visitors over the past 25+ years.  It is a one-of-a-kind family event that celebrates the spirit of the season, and was twice recognized as one of the best holiday markets in the U.S. by Travel + Leisure.  This year, the event experienced something new. Us! Patient First was able to participate for the first time during “Opening Weekend” as a day vendor, and it was great fun. The event began on Friday, November 19 and runs every weekend until December 19, 2021. Although we were there for just a day, we joined more than 100 other vendors who will be on site for the run of the event. For us, it was a day well spent. We heard from folks who had great experiences at our Patient First locations throughout the Lehigh Valley and all over Pennsylvania.   Lehigh Valley's Musikfest Celebrates 40th Anniversary

  Musikfest returned for its 40th year in the Lehigh Valley and Patient First was part of the action on "Preview Night" again this year. The Bethlehem, PA event is the country's largest free music festival, and it draws more than 1 million people annually. A record-breaking 1,240,000 people attended Musikfest in 2022, and 2023 attendance will likely be larger. This 10-day festival features more than 500 performances across 16 stages located throughout the city of Bethlehem. It is so much fun and we love being part of the activities each year! Hundreds of performances can be enjoyed by 'Festers' throughout the run of the event, and almost all of the events are free. The only ones that required a purchased ticket are the headliners each evening. On our day at the fair, the band AJR was the headliner and performed to a sold out crowd of 7,000+ people. Although we are only able to be on site for a single day, event organizers, staff and volunteers always go above and beyond to be accommodating and welcoming to us, and we couldn't be happier.   "Wheels of Wayne" Event Celebrates 9th Anniversary

  This year marked the 9th anniversary for people to cruise on in for this annual car show in downtown Wayne, PA. Patient First has participated in the event several times over the years, and it has become one of our favorites near our Devon center. As a sponsor, we have enjoyed interacting with the local community, and the many others who traveled from out of the area to enjoy a fun-filled day. Originally slated for Saturday, April 30, inclement weather prevailed and the event was moved to it's May 7th rain date. This was such a great call, since Mother Nature smiled upon us and delivered a beautiful day with bright sunshine and temperatures in the mid-70s. Large crowds came out to enjoy the day, and all of the new, antique, classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles that were on display on two streets in Wayne. In addition to the many vendors, there was entertainment of all sorts, food and beverages, prizes and more for the whole family to enjoy.
