Dr. Kenneth Lucas joined Patient First in 1986, and he served as the Medical Director of Parham from October 1986 until January 2015. He is a 1967 alumnus of the University of Virginia, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Dr. Lucas graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, where he earned a medical doctorate degree in 1971. He began an internship and a residency in 1971 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He interrupted his residency from 1972 to 1975 to serve in the United States Army as a General Medical Officer in Germany, where he rose to the rank of Major. Dr. Lucas returned from his service to complete his residency program in 1977. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
