Patient First Payment Policy

Patient First is a private medical organization which receives no financial assistance from state or federal programs and which relies solely on revenue from patients and their insurers.

We believe that the physician-patient relationship is strengthened when there is a clear understanding between both parties as to their rights and obligations.

In order to maintain financial stability in the current medical insurance environment and to provide the best possible medical care at the lowest possible cost, we have established the following payment policies:

If Patient First participates with your insurance plan

  • A payment card (for either authorization or a $120 deposit) is required at registration.
  • Payment of outstanding balance(s) from previous visits and for any prescriptions received during your current visit is required.  Patients who authorize a card will avoid having to pay the deposit and may also "check out" after the visit, allowing them to leave from the treatment room with prescriptions in hand.

For Patients without insurance (Self-Pay)

  • Patients may 1) establish a payment plan at registration or 2) pay an initial deposit at registration and then pay the remaining balance for the visit at discharge.
  • Payment of outstanding balance(s) from previous visits is required.

We suggest that you read our “Patient First Treatment and Payment Policies” brochure when you come in for a visit. Copies are available at the front desk. If you have any questions about our policies, please do not hesitate to ask.
