Drug & Alcohol Testing
Patient First performs drug and alcohol testing using advanced technologies and electronic reporting to ensure employees’ compliance with drug and alcohol standards set by their employers and federal and state regulatory agencies.
Employees can walk in to any Patient First location, with no appointment needed, to have drug and/or alcohol tests performed, as determined by their employer.
Patient First offers testing for a range of purposes:
- Pre-employment testing,
- DOT (Department of Transportation) Regulated-Testing,
- For-Cause/Reasonable Suspicion testing,
- Testing at the employer’s request.
Patient First offers the following types of tests:
- Urine 10 panel including marijuana (lab-based test)
- Urine 10 panel excluding marijuana (lab-based test)
- Urine 5 panel instant including marijuana (provides rapid result with 15 minutes)
- 7 panel hair sample: for pre-employment, random testing and upon request
- Drugs tested for are detectable up to 3 months post usage
- Other urine panels based on availability
- Urine alcohol test
- Blood alcohol test

All 70+ Patient First locations offer workplace drug and alcohol screening services. The only test not available at all Patient First locations is the breath alcohol test. Refer to the above list on this page to see which centers offer the breath alcohol test.
Employers who partner with Patient First for workplace drug and alcohol testing will be given access to a secure online employer portal to access the results of employee screenings.
