York St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026

On Saturday, March 14th, our hearty Patient First staff braved the blustery winds and cold temperatures to greet the thousands gathered down the length of West Market Street for the 40th annual York St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

This is the fourth year that Patient First has been a part of this event, post-Covid. Unlike past years where we have led the parade, this year, the organizers shuffled the order and had us bringing up the rear. That allowed us to see a great deal more of the organizations, bands, and dance troupes that make up this generation-spanning parade.

Prior to step-off, we were once again hosted by the good folks at Union Lutheran Church, who provided shelter from the elements, as well as hot dogs, chili, sodas, snacks, as well as a performance from a local Irish Dance school.

Once we hit the streets, we were greeted by the familiar and enthusiastic shouts of  “We love you, Patient First!” and other praises, as our staff went out into the crowds, handing out yo-yo’s and hand sanitizer. Our wagon full of goodies was completely empty by the time we reached the end of the mile-long route.

This event has always drawn enthusiastic support from our staff and the community, and we look forward to returning in 2027!
