On Saturday, September 20th, Patient First returned to the Springettsbury Township Park to once again be a part of one of the most colorful events on our calendar- the York Enchanted Fairy Festival. This event draws patrons from all across the Northern Baltimore and Central PA region, and almost all of them come in some form of costume, whether it be fairy, elf, gnome, hobbit, mermaid, or pirate. It’s a fun day of magic and make believe for people of all ages, and one that our staff seems to enjoy more than any other event we do!
This is our fourth year attending this event, and the first since it was cut short after a tornado blew through overnight, cancelling the second day of activities. This year, the event scaled itself back to just one day, but it packed a weekend of activities into that one day! Music, games, sword fighting demonstrations, along with plenty of food and craft vendors made this a fantastic one-day event.
Once again, our craft table kept the kids busy making fairies out of popsicle sticks and pipe cleaners , which freed up the parents to talk with us about their experiences with us (100% positive), and our services to the few who weren’t familiar with us. Patients of ours from York, Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster, White Marsh, Bel Air, Catonsville, and even Glen Burnie and Annapolis made the trip to this event, and all were glad to see us and walk away with some promotional swag.
This event has been a staff favorite for years, and this year was no exception. We’re happy that the festival has returned after last year’s setback, and everyone is looking forward to being a part of it again in 2026!
