The Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley continues to exemplify the power of community, inclusion, and compassion. Over the years their annual Trick or Treat event has become one of our favorites. It shows the real human element in a most vulnerable way, yet with such kindness and compassion for children and young adults with a variety of disabilities.
We are so proud to work with an organization which is so dedicated to supporting young people with disabilities across the full spectrum, from mild to severe. Additionally, the organization provides a safe and welcoming environment in which every child can participate, connect, and thrive without judgment and always with support and encouragement.
Being set up next to the registration table where everyone checked in upon arrival gave us a great opportunity to speak with almost every event participant, which we loved. We even had a special visit by Miss Pennsylvania 2025, Victoria Vespico who stopped by our tent and helped us give out our safety blinkers and promote Halloween safety, which we loved.
Overall, this year’s Trick or Treat event was once again a big success. The evening was filled with creativity, excitement, and joy as children and families came together to celebrate in an inclusive and supportive setting. From imaginative costumes to the sense of togetherness that filled the air, the event truly captured the spirit of the Miracle League and its mission.
It was magical to see the smiling faces of so many children (and their parents, grandparents and siblings, too) when they visited our table. Many knew us and gave us handshakes, hugs, and thanks.
This organization embodies the best of what a community can achieve when people come together with shared purpose and genuine caring. It truly does take a village to create moments like these, moments that remind us of the importance of accessibility, belonging, and joy for all.
