Mother Nature may not have gotten the memo about the theme, but the Towson Town Spring Fest arrived just the same on Saturday, May 2nd and Sunday, May 3rd .This massive event, returning for its 57th year, encompasses eight blocks of downtown Towson, and is billed as one of the largest festivals on the east coast. More than 300 vendors lined both sides of the streets, and Patient First was proud to be among them!
Our intrepid staff braved the chilly temperatures, and very blustery winds throughout both days of this event. Despite the less than ideal conditions, the crowds still came out in force for this highlight of the town’s social calendar. The people we spoke with were patients not just from our Towson Center (which was just 1.5 miles away), but from Lutherville, Perry Hall, Pasadena, Glen Burnie, and Catonsville. Everyone had glowing things to say about their experiences at our centers. They may not have enjoyed having to come in in the first place, but they felt great about their experience coming out of the center. In addition to those positive interactions, we also performed 65 blood pressure checks on Saturday.
This has historically been one of the larger events on our calendar, and this year did not disappoint. We were glad to get both days in this year, after weather curtailed the last two. Our participation was warmly received both by the community, and the Towson Chamber of Commerce, which sponsored the event. We look forward to coming back again next year!
