BCPS Fest 2026

For a fifth straight year, Patient First was happy to help usher in the new school year to the thousands of families in the Baltimore County region, as part of the massive BCPS Fest! Once again, the event was held at New Town High School, just four miles from our Owings Mills center, and played host to over 75 county services, agencies, and school partners spread out through both the school’s gymnasium and cafeteria.

Over the years, this event has evolved and expanded, becoming not just a resource fair, but also a celebration of community and the promise of an exciting new year for students of all ages. In addition to the scores of tables displaying resources and services available to families, there were also performances from several high school marching bands and cheerleader squads. Add in a pedal-your-own-fruit smoothie station, a painting tent, and a foam playground, and you have all the ingredients for a great afternoon!

Most of the people we spoke with were families who’d visited our Owings Mills, Catonsville, Towson, and Lutherville centers, although some even came from the Bel Air center in nearby Harford County. Most of them described themselves as frequent fliers, and all had wonderful, positive experiences to relay. We emphasized our school and sports physical services, while handing out our band-aids, hand sanitizers, rulers, pens, and balsa wood planes. In addition to renewing our presence in the Owings Mills community, this event also put us in contact with other school resource officers who intend to invite us to their events, schedule permitting.

The support staff we had at our table was great- including one for whom it was their first ever event- and everyone had a great time coming out to represent Patient First, and support the community. We will definitely be back next year!
