On Sunday, May 3, we were proud to once again sponsor the annual AAPI Heritage Month celebration. This event honors Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, which is celebrated each May to recognize the contributions and rich cultural heritage of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.
The event was organized by the Asian American Health Initiative in partnership with the Office of Community Partnerships and supported by the greater Germantown community. The celebration drew attendees from across the region, including Virginia and Maryland.
Held at Seneca Valley High School just two miles from our Germantown Center the event featured a wide variety of activities, including a health fair with screenings, cultural performances, children’s activities, and food vendors. It was a vibrant celebration that allowed attendees to experience diverse traditions, connect with community resources, and enjoy family friendly programming.
Overall, the event was a great success, strengthening our community presence and reinforcing our commitment to supporting diverse communities through outreach and engagement.
