Dr. Matthew McClellan joined Patient First as a full-time staff physician in May of 2021, and he previously served as a part-time staff physician from April 2015-December 2015. Dr. McClellan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor in philosophy from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware, and he received his osteopathic medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed an internship in general medicine at St. Francis Hospital/Catholic Health East Health Network in Wilmington, Delaware, and he completed two years of residency training in general surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center/Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, New Jersey. Dr. McClellan also completed a residency in family practice at Lower Bucks Hospital/Prime Healthcare Network in Bristol, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete a fellowship in emergency medicine at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia. Dr. McClellan is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the American Board of Physician Specialties in Emergency Medicine.
