  Hanover Tomato Festival 2023

  It was a great celebration of Hanover's favorite fruit, as the community gathered together for the annual Hanover Tomato Festival 2023.  Over 12,000 pounds of juicy, ripe tomatoes were packaged and delivered to Pole Green Park for the two day, event filled weekend.  Festival goers were able to purchase tomatoes by the bag or by the box.  From signature tomato-themed dishes to tomato incorporated games, it was apparent that these were certainly a crowd favorite.  With nearly 150 vendors in attendance, a kid zone, a live band, and a DJ, there was definitely something for everyone. Patient First was excited to join this beloved festival that has been a long time tradition for so many local families.  Many patrons stopped by our tent to get their free blood pressure checks, along with some Patient First swag.  We were happy to share some fun facts on the health benefits of tomatoes with the community.  Not only does this juicy fruit taste great, but its also good for you!   Hanover Township Festival

  Hanover Township Festival After being closed for nearly a year and a half, Bethlehem’s Hanover Township Community Center recently re-opened, and their first event back – Hanover Township Fall Festival, a pirate-themed event – was a huge success. As the first “returning sponsor” as the facility reopened, we earned a premier spot in the midst of all the fun. Our tent was a popular one and our giveaways flew off our table. We enjoyed lots of excellent conversations with folks from throughout the Lehigh Valley – Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton.  Mother Nature even cooperated by providing perfect weather for an outdoor Fall event. There are more fun, family-friendly events planned at the Community Center in the weeks and months ahead, and Patient First is looking forward to being part of them! It is such a pleasure to be good neighbors with such a great community organization that is just a short drive from our Bethlehem center.

  Gaithersburg Book Festival

  The City of Gaithersburg held its annual Gaithersburg Book Festival on Saturday, May 21, which is in close proximity to our Germantown location. Approximately 5,000 people, spanning all ages, came out to support the festival. Since its inception in 2010, the Gaithersburg Book Festival has quickly become one of the nation’s top literary events, attracting award-winning and best-selling authors, poets, and songwriters from across the country. The mission of the festival is to foster an interest in reading, writing and literary conversation. Patient First has been a proud sponsor of the Gaithersburg Book Festival event for over 5 years, and our staff had great engagement and interactions with attendees.

  Dominion Energy Riverrock Festival

  The Dominion Energy Riverrock Festival returned to downtown Richmond for a weekend of action-packed fun! Held on Brown's Island, the festival celebrates the great outdoors while displaying some of the city's most scenic landmarks and natural resources. Over 1,000 people signed up to participate in a number of events, including bike trail races, kayaking, paddle boarding, slack lining, rock climbing, boulder smashing, and so much more! This year, Patient First enjoyed the festival from a prime location in front of the air dogs show. This was filled with riveting acts from dogs all over, who literally leapt at the opportunity to strut their stuff. The crowds cheered on the pups in amazement! The energy was great, and there was a lot of excitement surrounding this multi-day festival that brought out more than 100,000 people.  Patient First truly enjoyed participating in this festival, and we look forward to seeing you all next year!

  Havre De Grace Ice Festival

  On Saturday, February 3rd, the town of Havre De Grace hosted their annual Havre De Grace Ice Festival. 50 beautifully crafted and polished sculptures hewn from blocks of ice adorned the streets of town, creating a festive atmosphere amidst the doldrums of winter. In addition to the outdoor sights, the festival also hosts a vendor fair and children's play area inside the STAR Centre, formerly Havre De Grace High School. The facility features a gymnasium that hosted the vendor fair with character appearances, as well as two large bounce houses for kids to frolic about. The Centre's auditorium played host for the "Elsa and Friends" character show, as well as a "Jurassic Kingdom" presentation for children and adults alike. To top off the afternoon and evening's events, the festival featured a bit of wintry fire, by holding a chili cookoff, with more than a dozen entries from local restaurants and food service providers.   2023 Lancaster Hot Air Balloon Festival

  One of the most visually dazzling events of this region's event season returned over the weekend in the form of the Lancaster Hot Air Balloon Festival. Held on an expansive field in Bird-In Hand, PA, this 4-day event typically draws crowds by the busloads from as far north as Wisconsin, to as far south as Alabama. As a long-time sponsor of this event, our Patient First tent was placed in a prime position-- right at the edge of the vendor fair, as crowds exited and entered the field to witness the nightly balloon glow event, and scheduled balloon ascensions. We also sponsored the festival's corn maze, as well as one of the balloons launched daily. Sadly, the evening winds were just a tad too strong to allow for an evening ascension, but the morning ascensions did go off as planned. In addition to a wide variety of food, games, live entertainment that included bands, magicians, and character shows, this year's festival offered a new feature-- helicopter rides!
