Patient First is pleased to announce our Virginia medical centers are once again able to care for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield members. We reached an agreement with Anthem and, effective immediately, are again accepting new patients insured under all Anthem plans. These plans include HealthKeepers, KeyCare, Medicare Advantage and others, as well as out-of-state BlueCross BlueShield plans. Also, Patient First welcomes back and is accepting Medicaid patients insured under Anthem HealthKeepers Plus.

What does this mean for HealthKeepers, KeyCare, Medicare Advantage, out-of-state BCBS, and members of other Anthem plans?

New Patients: New patients are once again welcome at all 28 Virginia Patient First centers, with no restrictions.

Existing Patients: Existing patients are welcome at all 28 Virginia Patient First centers. There has been no disruption in service to existing patients enrolled in Anthem's commercial plans.


What does this mean for patients insured under Anthem’s Medicaid/FAMIS program (HealthKeepers Plus)?

New and Existing Patients: Patient First welcomes back and is again accepting Medicaid patients insured under Anthem HealthKeepers Plus. If you have Anthem Medicaid insurance, you are welcome as a patient at all 28 Virginia Patient First centers.

Patient First operates 70 Neighborhood Medical Centers across the Mid-Atlantic region. Every center is open 365-days a year from 8 am to 10 pm. Walk-in, no appointment necessary. Each location has on-site x-ray, lab, and prescription drugs. All major insurance plans accepted.
