Dr. Simball has been a member of the Patient First physician team since 1998, when he started as a Staff Physician at the Owings Mills center.  An alumnus of Johns Hopkins University for both his undergraduate and medical degrees, Dr. Simball completed his residency in family practice at Fairfax Family Practice in Fairfax, Virginia.  He practiced emergency medicine at several hospital emergency departments for four years, including Fair Oaks Hospital in Virginia and Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.  He was also in private practice for five years and, during that time, taught residents from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond and the University of Maryland School of Medicine before joining Patient First.  He is currently on the clinical faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Department of Medicine.  He moved to the Perry Hall location in 2004.  Dr. Simball is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
