Dr. Somerville has been a member of the Midlothian physician team since January of 1996.  A graduate of Howard University, she graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 1982 and completed her residency in family practice at Howard University Hospital in 1985.  She joined a National Health Service Corps site in Alabama in 1985 and served until she was asked to join the  Oschner Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she served until returning to Virginia to join Patient First in 1996.  Dr. Somerville has held clinical appointments as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Departments of Family Practice at University of South Alabama, Tulane University, Louisiana State University and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Dr. Somerville is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
